The Missionaries of La Salette
In 1846, two children in the French Alps encountered A "Beautiful Lady" arrayed in Light. Weeping, the Lady spoke words of deep and loving concern for all her wayward, sinful children. She described the need for conversion - reconciliation with God - and implored the children to "Make this known to all my people."
Mary's apparition at La Salette, France, inspired the formation of the La Salette Missionaries - A religious community of priests and brothers dedicated to the ministry of reconciliation. Sharing a common life of prayer, fraternity and hospitality, La Salette Missionaries minister in Africa, Asia, Europe, North America and South America. "We, the La Salette priests and brothers serve not only in parishes, but also as hospital chaplains, teachers, counselors, youth ministers, and at shrines and retreat houses.
