Emmaus 90 Formation Sessions

Formation Session Schedule

Our formation will follow the four movements of the story of the disciples on the road to Emmaus in Luke 24:13-35: 

• Jesus drew close (How to put the conditions in our lives to recognize and converse with him).
• He interpreted the Scriptures to them (How we understand what Sacred Scripture teaches us about the Eucharist).
• Their eyes were opened in the breaking of the bread (How to fully, actively, consciously participate in the Mass).
• They set out at once to share the good news (How to go out on mission to others as Eucharistic Missionaries).

Taught by Archdiocesan and national leaders, these sessions will help pilgrims to enter into daily prayer with the Scriptures provided for the week and the weekly discussions with their small group. Session recordings will be posted on our Pilgrim Page for those who cannot participate live.

• January 25 | Jesus Interprets the Scriptures with Dr. Mary Healy, Sacred Heart Major Seminary Detroit

• February 1 | God’s Covenants with Us, with Michael Gutzwiller, Sophia Institute for Teachers

• February 8 | God’s Plan to Save Us & Preparing for Lent, with Fr. Justin Kizewski, National Eucharistic Revival Preacher, St. Francis de Sales Seminary

• Wednesday, February 14 ASH WEDNESDAY WEEK & PALLIUM LECTURE 
For this week’s session, plan to participate in your parish’s Ash Wednesday service with your Pilgrim Group.

• February 15 | No Formation Session Consider attending the Archdiocesan Pallium Lecture with your Pilgrim Group. It's free but you must register to get a seat because it sells out every year. Learn more and register at www.archmil.org/Pallium-Lecture

• February 22 | Recognize Him in the Breaking of the Bread with Fr. Christopher Klusman, Deaf Apostolate

• February 29 | Created for Worship with Fr. John Burns, National Eucharistic Preacher & Vocation Promoter

• March 7 | Praying the Mass Fully, Actively, & Consciously with Dr. Michael Brummond, Sacred Heart Seminary & School of Theology

• March 14 | Become What You Receive with Fr. John LoCoco, National Eucharistic Preacher & Vocation Director

• March 20 | 12 HOURS OF RECONCILIATION

• March 21 | Set Out at Once on Mission with Maximus Cabey

• March 28 HOLY THURSDAY | No Formation Session For tonight’s session, plan to participate in your parish’s Mass of the Lord’s Supper with your Pilgrim Group.

Celebrate Holy Week & Easter Well:
• Friday, March 29 – Good Friday
• Saturday, March 30 – Holy Saturday / Easter Vigil
• Sunday, March 31 – Easter Sunday
