Conversion Plan for Archmil Accounts

The Archdiocese of Milwaukee no longer will offer archmil email accounts for any parish or school personnel. As you know, the current email application is very basic. Today’s choices for email are far superior, offer a greater storage capacity and allow you to easily change your password.

The following information provides deadlines and offers some options for our current email users.  

1. By June 30, 2021, any existing account will be shut down!
2. You must select a new platform for your email,  options include:
   1. If your parish or school has email accounts with your domain, create a new account and we will forward your archmil email to the new account.
   2. If you have an existing domain for your website but DO NOT have email accounts with that domain, we recommend that you set up Google for Non-profits, Google for Education, or a Microsoft Office 365 account. We will forward email from your archmil account to the new account.
   3. Set up an email address with Gmail, Outlook, or some other email service (e.g. myministry@gmail.com) and we will forward messages to this new account. This solution is not preferred but can be used until a more permanent email account is created with your parish or school domain. We recommend you do not use a personal email account for official business at your parish or school.
3. Unless you have qualified volunteers or personnel on staff, we also recommend that you contact your technology vendor for help with this project. Our office can provide you with the names of vendors who are currently working with other parishes and schools.
4. If you no longer want your archmil email, please let us know.
5. Once you create your new account, please update the Names database so communication from the Pastoral Center continues.

Please let us know as soon as you have an alternative account and we will begin forwarding your messages.
