Workers' Compensation Procedures

Effective July 1, 2024, workers compensation claims are adjusted through United Heartland.

Initial worker injury reporting and the first report of injury form will be made through United Heartland.

Following are the new worker injury reporting procedures with United Heartland.

• When an employee experiences a work related injury, the employee should immediately report it to the employer.

• If the injury requires emergency treatment, call 911.

• If the injury is more serious than a bandage, but less than an ambulance ride, call 1-888-881-8242 and press option #1.

Ideally, the employee and supervisor should make the call together right after the injury occurs and prior to seeking outside care.

If no supervisor is available, the injured party should place the call.
