Dear Friends,
Happy Hallowtide! I hope this finds each of you well, and enjoying the incredible Fall weather God has blessed southeastern Wisconsin with this year. As we push forward towards the end of the liturgical year this coming month, know that I'm praying for you and your parishes as you seek to spread the good news of Marriage & Family life!
In Christ,

Wedding Jubilee Mass - Revisited
|
Earlier this month, Bishop Haines celebrated the annual Wedding Jubilee Mass at St. John Neumann in Waukesha. We had close to 100 couples present to celebrate their 25th, 50th, and above anniversaries. All totaling just under 5,000 years of marriage! Check out the article below about the day, and save the date for next year's celebration - October 25, 2025 with the Archbishop.

Pornography Support & Resource Page
|
Did you know that pornography has been declared a public health crisis in over 16 states, and that almost two-thirds of Christian men (and one-fifth of Christian women) admit to viewing porn at least monthly? Is your parish ready to support men and women looking for help quitting a habit of porn (or supporting a loved one)?
We've put together a resource and support page to direct people towards when this comes up in the confessional, in conversation, or when someone reaches out for help. It has resources for individuals seeking help, spouses looking for support, and for parents to talk through with their children.
We also have posters, brochures, and confessional cards to make available to your parish. Order them on our Marriage Resource page.

Praying for the Dead with Kids
|
How do we talk about death with children? Similarly, how do we teach our children to pray for the dead, especially in this coming month dedicated to the souls in Purgatory? Check out the article below from Kendra Tierney for some ideas and tips to work into your own parish work or to share with your parish families.

Our NFP book, Family Planning & Fertility, is an easy way to start promoting NFP at your parish! Place this book in the narthex of the church, in spaces where men's and women's small groups meet, share with couples preparing for marriage or individuals in OCIA. Family Planning & Fertility is a quick little read and is a perfect introduction to Natural Family Planning and is available in English or Spanish. Order copies for your parish today!

Initiation Workshop (RCIA/OCIA)
November 12th, 1 - 4PM | MMCPC | No Cost
|
For those of us who support marriage AND initiation ministry (OCIA/RCIA), please join us for our upcoming workshop on the nuts and bolts of Initiation Ministry! During this workshop, we will explain the vision of Christian Initiation of Adults, the necessary steps of the formation process, which rites apply to which people, Canon Law issues related to initiation, as how to build an effective formation team and process at your parish. We'll also be giving an overview of the new ritual text, which is to be implemented this coming year (and we'll have copies to purchase at a discount!).
Please join us and share this with anyone who leads Initiation efforts at your parish.
