March 2025
Dear Friends,

This week I am in Lafayette, LA attending the Marriage Catechumenate Summit with a few other leaders from our diocese. These summits are small gatherings of leaders from across the county to unpack, discuss, and actualize Pope Francis' call for a "Marriage Catechumenate." You can read about the first Summit here, and about the Marriage Catechumenate in general here.

Please pray for us, as we pray for you! I look forward to sharing the fruit of this gathering in the coming months.

In Christ,
Doug

April 26 | Schoenstatt Retreat Center, Waukesha
The Archdiocese of Milwaukee will host a retreat day for those who have experienced divorce or separation on April 26.

Whether they are still in the process of divorcing, or have been divorced for years, this day of healing is offered to all. Explore divorce in a deeper, gentler way, including presentations that guide a relationship with one's self, with God, and with others.

Please help us promote this event at your parish using the materials at this link.

Ministry leaders please share the below message with your parish and school families!
Is your daughter ready to learn about menstrual cycles and periods? It may surprise you that for most girls preparation should occur between ages 9-11!

While the average age of menarche is still around age 12, research shows: girls who are adequately informed and equipped prior to their first period will have much less anxiety and a more positive experience.

Plus girls who learn about period early are better able to be compassionate, understanding, and helpful towards friends who may get their period first!

Check out this free download to see if your daughter is showing any if the obvious signs that it's time to learn!

And if you're ready to jump in, check out Cycle Prep: a parent daughter course which parents agree has helped prepare their daughter and themselves for a first period together! Two local group sessions are taking place this spring in West Bend and Kenosha through generous sponsorship of the Catholic Stewardship Appeal. You can also explore the at home self paced option.

April 9 | Hours of Reconciliation
During the season of Lent of this Jubilee Year, Archbishop Grob has asked that the faithful of the archdiocese observe April 9 as a Day of Reconciliation, Reparation, and Fasting. On that Wednesday, area priests will be available for the sacrament of Reconciliation at 11 parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. Please help promote this to your parish!
