There is no gift greater than the gift of education. The Catholic University of America is the national University of the Catholic Church in the United States. Located in Washington, D.C., it is the only institution of higher education founded by the U.S. bishops and chartered by the Vatican. The university provides graduate degrees for seminarians sponsored by nearly 195 U.S. Catholic dioceses. Of our bishops and cardinals across the country, 95 have been educated at the Catholic University of America.
The university provides an academically rigorous education guided by the Catholic intellectual tradition to nearly 7,000 undergraduate and graduate students every year. More than 4,000 students directly receive scholarship aid from this collection.
Last year, Catholics in southeastern Wisconsin donated more than $125,000 to this national collection. Because of your generous contributions, students have the opportunity to apply for scholarships that help them prepare for a lifetime of faith and service.
