Walking Through Grief Together

Walking Through Grief Together is a support group is for adults experiencing grief after the loss of a loved one due to death and/or any kind of loss. The group provides a safe and confidential setting for sharing and finding support with others who are also experiencing loss whether the loss is within the last few weeks, months, a year or a few years ago. Give yourself permission to share your pain and explore healing with others. Experienced group leaders offer knowledge and guidance and will facilitate group discussion to help participants work and heal through their grief journey. This group is for church members and non-members.

The Widows of Prayer are a religious apostolate of the Catholic Church, meeting, praying and working together for mutual support and common prayer for the Catholic Church and its leaders. If you are a widow, you are invited to get to know us. They understand what it’s like to lose a spouse. You are welcome to our gatherings to learn more about us.
The Widows of Prayer Mission is to serve Christ through His Church by praying for priests and others in Church leadership, to be devoted to the Blessed Sacrament, and to promote Adoration of Christ in the Eucharist. Your commitment varies according to personal choice: Daily Mass, Rosary, Scripture Readings, Mediation, Adoration and the Divine Office. Women are expected to attend at least one meeting a month.

Holy Apostles and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parishes collaborate to offer Companions on the Journey grief support groups for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Both groups offer an opportunity for bereaved people to share their stories of grief in a safe and supportive environment while growing in their understanding of the grieving process. Two trained volunteers share the facilitation of each group meeting.
