Vicars General

To assist the archbishop with his role in governance, several Vicars General are appointed. Some of them, in addition to their other ministry positions, focus on specific geographic territories, namely two deaneries each.  The goal is to provide the archbishop someone closer to the parish level to increase communication, aid in decision-making, and be a conduit between the archbishop and day-to-day parish life.

• Bishop James Schuerman - Deaneries Dodge/Washington and Fond du Lac/Sheboygan
• Bishop Jeffrey Haines - Deaneries Ozaukee/Milwaukee Northeast and Milwaukee Northwest
• Very Reverend Jerome Herda - Deaneries Milwaukee Southeast and Milwaukee Southwest
• Very Reverend Ricardo Martín - Deaneries Racine, Kenosha and Walworth
• Very Reverend David Reith - Deaneries Waukesha East and Waukesha West

The following Vicars General do not have a regional assignment:

• Very Reverend Nathan Reesman, Vicar for Clergy
