Pope Francis calls St. Joseph "an intercessor, a support and a guide in times of trouble." He adds, "Saint Joseph reminds us that those who appear hidden or in the shadows can play an incomparable role in the history of salvation." This presentation by Gary Pokorny, Board Chair for the National Community of Catechetical Leaders, will take a look at St. Joseph, as he appears in the Church's liturgy, in the Catechism, and in the Church's social teaching. St. Joseph can be a companion to us in trying times, a guide to following God's promptings in life, and a reminder to search for Christ in unexpected places and among the least of God's people.
Bishop James Schuerman, Auxiliary Bishop of Milwaukee, will provide resources to help one's prayer.
Fr. Robert Kroll, S.J., Director of Spiritual Formation at St. Francis Seminary, will discuss reasons for difficulty in praying along with two specific practices for praying.
Mrs. Mary Matestic, MTS, Leader of Retreats for Women and Contributor to the Catholic Herald, will speak on why prayer is so important for your deepest desires.
