Sagrada Familia parish, supported by the people of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, is located in the poorest, most arid area of the island. The parish center is located in the village of Sabana Yegua and includes 22 rural communities. There are upwards of 30,000 people within the parish boundaries. Therefore besides the pastoral ministries of the parish, much attention is given to the social needs of the people. These include health, education, job training and nutrition centers.
