Middle School Teacher English Language Arts

Saint John Paul II Catholic School, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic educator to join our team as Middle School English Language Arts Teacher. The ideal candidate will be passionate about literature, writing, and language arts instruction and committed to fostering a love of learning in our students. Our school is dedicatd to providing a faith-based education that integrates Catholic values and teachings into all aspects of the curriculum.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or related field. (Working towards a degree in education is acceptable)

Valid teaching license or certification

Experience teaching middle school ELA preferred

Strong knowledge of ELA curriculum standards, instructional best practices, and Catholic teachings

Excellent Communication, organization, and classroom management skills

Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education

Practicing Catholic preferred

*Develop and implement engaging and rigorous ELA curriculum aligned with grade-level standards and Catholic teachings. *Plan and deliver differentiated instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including English Language Learners *Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment and promotes respect, cooperation, and critical thinking. *Incorporate Catholic values, virtues, and teachings into ELA instruction and classroom activities. *Use of a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technology tools to enhance student learning and engagement *Assess student progress and achievement through formative and summative assessment and provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents *Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, parents, and community members to support student success and well-being *Participate in professional development opportunities and engage in ongoing reflection and growth as an educator.
