Provide instruction by which students develop aesthetic concepts and appreciations and the ability to make qualitative judgments about art

Demonstrates techniques in activities such as drawing, painting, and modeling, using standard and/or teacher-prepared instructional aids

Instruct students in proper care and use of tools and equipment

Organize storage areas and control use of materials, equipment, and tools to prevent loss or abuse and to minimize time required for distribution and collection

Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to provide an orderly, productive environment in the art classroom

Collects data on individual student achievement and is knowledgeable about student electronic database and grading software

Maintains records as required by law, school policy, and administrative regulations in a timely and confidential manner

Accepts accountability for each child’s learning
